7th and 8th grade Social Studies

7th grade will be studying the Civilizations of the Ancient Americas. First quiz on Chapter 3 Section 1 will possible be on Thursday, January 29, 2009.

We will be competing in the Stock Market Game in Dealware from March to early May. Students will work in teams researching, buying, and selling stocks in companies. They will be competing with other 7th graders throughout the state.

8th grade will be learning about the constitution (chapter 8).

BOTH 7th and 8th grade will be starting a power point project to learn about primary and secondary sources.

7th and 8th grade Social Studies

7th grade:
We are going to be reviewing Chapter 2 Section 3 and then retaking the quiz due to overall class grades. The quiz retake will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Please make sure you are paying attention in class and studying to do well on this quiz.

We will take the test on Chapter 2 last this week or early next week. Be sure to study for this test. Next we will be moving on to Chapter 3.

8th grade:
For the next 2 weeks (1/5-1/19) students will be doing an American Revolution project. Students will choose to do a web quest, report, or the history challenge.
